Staff Our staff consists of qualified, well-trained personnel whose love and understanding of children are responsible for the continued success of the School. All personnel meet regularly to discuss the implementation of our curriculum and how best to relate to each individual child. The Director and teachers belong to, and participate in, the activities of the Connecticut and Hartford Associations for the Education of Young Children, and attend regional training on various topics related to early childhood education.

Program
Each classroom is fully equipped to provide a rich play environment for students and is staffed to allow us to give a great deal of individual attention to the children. The School's curriculum has a structured framework yet allows flexibility to respond to each child's needs, interests, and developmental level. The program is designed to allow children the freedom to make choices within established guidelines, with a strong emphasis on respect for all children and materials. School readiness skills are developed through an environment that stimulates exploration, discovery, problem solving and interaction with other children. We focus on activities that help children to increase their attention span, listening skills, and language skills. Daily activities include opportunities for dramatic play, sand and water play, easel painting, art activities and working with building toys, puzzles and games. The children also sing, listen to stories, and participate in preparing their own snacks.
